“Just take it easy, keep hydrated, rest when you need to, get well soon.” That’s the advice I’ve been given by my wise and wonderful family and friends and given that I’m not allowed to go out or do anything because of this sodding virus, it would have been easy to heed it. And to a large extent I did heed it, except for doing some cooking, tidying up and walking around the house so much yesterday that I somehow hit 5000 steps on my Unfit Bit. Today, it’s a totally different story.
I woke up at Stupid O Clock with my sinuses all blocked up, my head aching (I never get headaches), slight brain fog and absolutely knackered. I stayed in bed for an ill-deserved lie-in, stumbling downstairs after a refreshing shower and carrying out an absolutely pointless lateral flow test which of course was positive again. What on Earth was I expecting on the third day?
I’m up and about now and my head is clearing, as are my lungs! My headache has gone and I’m thinking clearly enough to write this drivel.
I’m hoping that I’m about halfway through the infection period and it won’t get any worse, not, I have to say, that Covid has been all that bad at all. Thanks to Mrs Pfizer (I’m sure she must have been a woman), so far Covid-19 has been more of an irritation than anything else.
For those of you who haven’t yet had the virus, it seems that if you have had the vaccine, you’re not going to get seriously ill or even die. I’ll be happy when it’s gone but in all honesty I’m not remotely bothered by it.
