A great unravelling

I don’t blog much about the royal family. These days, I am more of a republican than a monarchist but I still recognise and indeed welcome the fact that the Queen has been a constant of almost all our lives. I am not sure we are ready for her passing.

In a country where nothing seems to work and everything is falling apart, the Queen has always been there. Through times of peace and times of conflict, when we needed sometime to unite us she was there. When Covid-19 swept across the land, she told us we would meet again. Most of us did.
