Morph axed shocker!

by Rick Johansen

He Shot He Missed understands that Calum ‘Morph Meaney’ May has been sensationally axed from the Stoke Gifford stiffs after a series of dismal performances.

Two home defeats, 4-2 and 5-1, with Morph at fault for all the goals has proved too much for the Village management.

After a long summer of major alcohol abuse when his only exercise was propping the bar at the cricket club, the club has decided to dump Meaney into the thirds.

“I was gutted when I heard the news,” sobbed a visibly shaken Meaney, over a foaming pint of Boston’s Old Thumper in the Beaufort.  “I know I have made the odd mistake or nine since the season started but many people have drunk far more than me and will still be in the reserves on Saturday!”

The one consolation for Meaney is that the equally unfit Nigel is away for the weekend, sucking up to his posh Uni friends.

Paul Long is 59.
