It’s time for my Friday Music Shuffle. My device plays 10 songs from my collection, at random, and I tell you what they are. If you want to play/sing along, just click on the song title.
Let’s rock!
- Flash Delirium by MGMT. Some excellent electronic pop from the MGMT’s Congratulations long player.
- Dear Mr Fantasy by Traffic. Stevie Winwood’s voice in top form in this track from *checks notes* 1967.
- Valley Hi! by Stereolab. The classic 2:15 of musical bliss from the Labbers.
- Down A Different River by the Super Furry Animals. From 1997’s Radiator, this is mint.
- Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’ by Michael Jackson. From 1982’s Thriller, this is Jacko at his brilliant best.
- Intro (It’s Album Time) by Todd Terje. Another most own album is It’s Album Time.
- Tell Me Why by The Beatles. A Lennon track from A Hard Day’s Night and it’s fantastic.
- El Nino by Agnelli and Nelson. Classic Old Skool Trance, here.
- The Strain by the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah band. I’m afraid this song really is about having a number two. (“Barbed wire bum baby” is one line…)
- The Angelic Welcome Of Mr Jones by Foster the People. Half a minute of lush Beach Boy style harmonies from 2014’s Supermodel record.
That’s all, folks!
