The sun is shining so what better to do than enjoy my Friday Music Shuffle? 10 tracks from my music collection, chosen at random by my music machine (phone). And if you want to sing along, then just click on the title!
Let’s rock!
- Don’t Look Back by Boston.I still love the overblown American rock from back in the day, especially this from Boston.
- Ghosts by Infantjoy. God I love this, going back to 2005, which I can’t quite believe.
- Explore by Curtis Harding. Few albums in 2021 were better than Harding’s If Words Were Flowers. Fantastic soul music.
- Hopeful by Curtis Harding. Well, this doesn’t happen too often. Another belter from Harding’s If Words Were Flowers long player.
- Cajun Moon by JJ Cale. We return to 1974 for this classic. Any idea where Dire Straits got their sound from?
- Tubular Bells Part 2 by Mike Oldfield. All 23 minutes and 20 seconds of it. Still a fan.
- Disastro by Sonny J. Title track of Sonny J’s only album. Not too bad actually, but nothing comes close to the best track on the album Can’t Stop Movin’ which is truly great.
- Lookin’ For A Leader by Neil Young. Young’s anti-war, anti-George W Bush album includes some good tunes, including this one.
- Frail Grasp On The Big Picture by The Eagles. The band doesn’t play anything from 2007’s Long Road Out Of Eden in today’s live show, which is a shame because there are some good tunes on it. This isn’t one of them.
- Move your Feet by Junior Senior. Brilliant from the Swedish duo who would never repeat their success. After a tune as good as this, how could they?
I can’t find a link for track number nine but in truth you’re not missing anything. Today’s Desert island Disc is the exciting number one song, Boston’s Don’t Look Back.
That’s all, folks!
