At long last, it’s Friday. TF for that. Friday means, among other things, my opportunity to bore you with some tunes chosen at random from my musical collection by my portable telephone device. So, I will.
Here from the bowels of my Man Cave is the Friday Music Shuffle. Let’s rock:
Medicated Goo by Jay Ferguson. From the former Jo Jo Gunne man’s great album, All Alone In the End Zone, this is a cover of the classic Traffic tune, co-written by Steve Winwood, with added Joe Walsh on guitar.
Rock ‘N’ Roll Nite by Kiss. Standard Kiss.
3,000 Miles From Here by Ian Hunter. From the Mott The Hoople man’s Ian Hunter album and it’s mint.
Selassie Children by Chronixx. Brilliant reggae from the boy’s excellent long player Chronology. Love reggae, buy this.
State Of Emergency by Stiff Little Fingers. Jake Burns growls through a tune from the mighty Inflammable Material album.
The Union of Different Kinds by Fisherman’s Friends. Some jolly folk rock from Port Isaac’s finest.
Yada Yada by Anderson Peak. An absolute belter from his 2019 record Ventura, well in the top five of albums of the year.
Ain’t That Enough by Teenage Fan Club. Jingly jangly guitar rock with added gorgeous harmonies from one of the most underrated bands in history. This from their LP Sons From Northern Britain.
Tender is the Neck by Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever. High quality Indie rock from the Aussie boys’ 2015 album Talk Tight. Essential.
Silence by the Delays. From their brilliant album, Everything’s The Rush, I just love this. So should you!
