I didn’t know Dean Matthews. He was a brilliant photographer from Sunderland. It’s easy enough to find his staggeringly good photographs on Facebook via his website.
On 19th October, he posted the above message.
He said:
‘Hi everyone just a quick post to let you know I’ve tested positive for Coronavirus
I’ve now got to self isolate for the next 10 days so unfortunately I’ll not be able to deliver or post out any orders until my isolation is up.
I’m sure you”ll all understand
Many Thanks Dean’
On 25th October, he posted the following:
‘Hi Everyone I just want to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU for all of your support and well wishes this past week I was truly overwhelmed
I just want to provide a little update
I was admitted to hospital this morning having not slept since Wednesday as my oxygen levels dropped making it hard for me to catch my breath and also being treated for a lung infection
I know I’m in the best place I’ll update everyone as I get more news
Many Thanks Dean’
Hard to tell how old Dean was, but my guess is not very. And look at the timeframe. On 19th October Dave tests positive for COVID-19 and isolates. Six days later and he’s having trouble breathing and is admitted to hospital. Today we learn he has died.
Let no one tell you COVID-19 is a hoax. No scientist, no doctor will tell you that. Some people who have been on the internet will tell you COVID-19 is all a hoax, despite having no real understanding of science and medicine. Well, hang on: I don’t have a great understanding of science and medicine either but I do know that scientists and doctors have a great understanding of both. Certainly more than professional fruitcakes David Icke and Piers Corbyn. Now, who to believe? So tough. Not.
Poor Dean Matthews did not die because of a hoax. He died of COVID-19, along with at least 50,000 others, maybe far more than 50,000. At least 50,000 family tragedies.
Don’t be fooled, folks. This COVID-19 malarkey is very real. This tragic story is why.
