Dear loyal supporter,

I’m on the grift. This blog has been running for eight years now, although it must feel a great deal longer for anyone who reads it. I put my heart and soul into my writing, something I regard as my work since I can’t get anyone else who wants to employ me these days.

As you can imagine, it’s not the most lucrative line of work. I earn £8.91 an hour less than the minimum wage and gain precisely nothing from the ads that appear from time-to-time. In fact, I pay out a modest amount to my technical team for creating and maintaining the site. I am very grateful to them.

I am also grateful to you, my loyal reader, for supporting me with this continuing endeavour. It’s always a thrill when I find that some people have had so much time on their hands they’re decided to donate some of it to read my words.

I haven’t put the blog behind a paywall on the simple grounds that literally no one would pay to read it so it’s basically free. And it’s going to stay that way.
