Now that’s what I call Friday. Well, what else do you call Friday? Anyway – I digress. It’s time for that non event you haven’t been waiting for, the one where I set my elderly iPod free and let it choose 10 of its 15,000 tunes for my delectation and, I suspect, your disinterest. So, here it is, live from my Man Cave. It’s that Friday Music Shuffle.

Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends.

1. Superstar by the Temptations. Motown magic.

2. Rockport Sunday by Tom Rush. One of my favourite folkies plays an instrumental beauty from his brilliant Circle Game album.

3. Take It All In by Saint Etienne. Love the Home Counties album. Lush.

4. The Circle Game by Tom Rush. Very odd. More Tom Rush. The title track of the Circle Game album.

5. I Left My Wallet in El Segundo by A Tribe Called Quest. From their debut record People’s Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm, magnificent old school hip hop.

6. Guinnevere by Crosby, Stills and Nash. Perfectamundo.

7. Walk in the Night by Jr Walker and the All Stars. More Motown magic.

8. Battle Scars by the Chemical Brothers. From the geeky ones’ We Are The Night album.

9. Sweet Tuesday Morning by Badfinger. This band should have been huge.

10. Night time is the right time by Creedence Clearwater Revival. Proper blues from JC Fogerty and the chaps from back in the day.

That’s all, folks!
