Oh yes, it’s that time of the week which no one but me is looking forward to. It’s the Friday morning iPod music shuffle.

Like any of these?

1. Creation by Peter Tosh. A bonus track from the magnificent Bush Doctor long player. Not what you might expect!

2. Happy Ending Kids by Nils Lofgren and Grin. Nice!

3. Gimme Your Money Please by Bachman Turner Overdrive. Not their best, but a nice sentiment, don’t you think?

4. Gimme a sign by Ryan Adams. Another song starting with Gimme, this time from the excellent Demolition.

5. Roll on river by Lindisfarne (US version). I have no idea why it’s called the US version. Perhaps it’s because it’s nowhere near as good as the UK version. The album Roll On Ruby is my favourite Lindisfarne record by light years.

6. Amanda by Aisha Duo. From a record called Quiet Songs which I didn’t know I had. Gorgeous.

7. This velvet glove by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. There’s something about the bareness of RHCP productions that stops them joining the Premier League of rock bands, but this, from Californication, is amiable enough.

8. Get On up by Jodeci. The alleged bad boys of R&B from one of ‘er indoors’ Trevor Nelson compilations. Nothing bad about this.

9. Multiplication by Bobby Darin. From my favourite Bobby Darin album, the Best of Bobby Darin.

10. Long Live Love by Sandie Shaw. Hard to disagree with Sandie, here!
