No surprises at the field last Saturday as the first team tumbled to a miserable seven wicket defeat at the hands of the University of Bristol staff.
The Gifford crawled to a dismal 154 in almost 45 overs with only gorgeous pouting Guy Long (30) and the more talented Semple (21) putting up any serious resistance.
Lamber continued his woeful batting form with a duck, as did John Dunt.
If the batting was bat, the bowling and fielding was even worse with only Dan ‘Five Bellies’ Dunt and student layabout Henry Winterman taking any wickets (three) between them.
The visitors reached their target with 12 overs to spare.
