Welcome my friends to the show that never ends. Yes, it’s what you all haven’t been waiting for – it’s 10 random tracks from my iPod that are belting out this morning in my man cave.
And we begin with:
1. Slip into something by Kinobe. Splashing waves and I’m magically back in Ibiza, trudging down to the Cafe del Mar. If only.
2. All the small things by Blink 182. Whoa! That’s woken me from my Ibiza slumber. Cracking rocker from the 182-ers.
3. One Step Closer by the Doobie Brothers. This from the Michael McDonald version of the Doobies which turned them into a totally different band with a different sound. Still good, though.
4. Shine on you crazy diamond by Pink Floyd. David Gilmour’s ode to Syd Barrett. Magnificent.
5. Whatever’s Left by Snow Patrol. I prefer their upbeat stuff, like this one.
6. Hollow Man by REM. Excellent track from the hugely underrated Accelerate. Miss them like I miss no other band.
7. (I’m gonna) Burn your playhouse down by the Proclaimers. Desperately brilliant.
8. Paris by Groove Armada. Lots of underrated stuff today, but not underrated by me. This from Soundboy Rock. Mint.
9. You Just Can’t Have It All by the Fun Lovin’ Criminals. Prize track from Welcome to Poppy’s.
10. Rock Your Body by Justin Timberlake. Quite an eclectic morning, don’t you think?
