I’m busy tomorrow so Friday is happening on Thursday in the sense that I’m having an iTunes music shuffle right now. I’ve made it down to my Man Cave and everything is ready to go so without further ado and without any good reason, here are ten random tunes from my record collection.
Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends.
Blackberry Way by The Move. Epic Roy Wood from back in the day.
Side Boob by Albert Hammond Jr. From his excellent Momentary Masters long player, the Strokes’ axeman sings a tune which is very Strokes-like.
Got Our Love by Fun Loving’ Criminals. Huey and the chaps with a cracker from Welcome to Poppy’s.
I Want Your Soul by Armand van Helden. Old school house from the legendary DJ chap.
The Circle Game by Tom Rush. Beautiful Joni Mitchell tune from a lifetime ago covered by the American folk rocker.
Shine On You Crazy Diamond by Pink Floyd. This baby, from Wish You Were Here, is all about the genius that was Syd Barrett.
She Takes The Soul by the Proclaimers. A rare filler from Craig and Charlie, but it’s still okay.
The World Has Music by the Average White Band. More from Scotland with the legendary blue eyes.
Home At Last by Steely Dan. From the greatest album of all time, Aja, this beauty features the legendary Bernard ‘Pretty’ Purdie on drums and Larry Carlton on guitar. Perfect.
Dancing Queen by Meryl Streep, Julie Walters and Mama Mia cast. Yes, this really on my iTunes.
