Boris’s charges had their second win in five days against mighty Lawrence Weston (well, they must be strong because they’re propping the entire league up!)
Young Meaney was restored to central defence on the day of his 20th birthday to play alongside alcoholic bone idle student Big Nigel and the bench included Semple and Red Faced veteran Longy.
Bennett, unaccountably playing on the right wing, was clean through in the first half and with only the keeper to beat booted the ball straight at him, heading the rebound wide.
Then the Village got a penalty and Harry Black blazed the ball straight down the middle: 1-0.
If the first half was even, the second half was even worse and with the temperature plunging, Harry took another penalty and made it 2-0 and to ensure he didn’t score a hat trick Boris took him off.
Gifford were under no real threat from the opposition and in the last minute Bennett, of all people, made it 3-0 from all of around 12 inches after a corner.
Man of the match – Stinky Turner (59).
