For the many millions of you who read yesterday’s blog, Too Good To Be True, I have an update for you.
Yesterday’s caller from ‘Sky’ was Kevin, who advised me in a strong Indian accent that there was a problem with my Sky account, which was odd since I don’t have one. Kevin was calling on 01490 590081 and was supposedly based in Corwen in Wales. Today’s caller was Mike.
Mike was also from ‘Sky’ but today was calling from Cambridge on 01954 380368. He too had a thick Indian accent and after a jolly “How are you today?” introduction he started to explain about – yes, you guessed it – a problem with my Sky account. Calmly, I explained that he was not Mike, that he was calling from India, not Cambridge, and moreover he was a cheap scam artist, the lowest form of human life and should be ashamed of himself. I managed to get that lot out before I heard the click at the end of the line.
Imagine your prime focus in life was to defraud innocent human beings by stealing their money? As well as anger, we should feel pity for people like Mike and Kevin.
The big question here is which scumbag will call next and what should I tell them?
