Goodbye and good riddance

Comments Off on Goodbye and good riddance 06 June 2018

If you are an internationalist, who believes in working hand in hand with our European friends, you will be slightly happier tonight.

If you are a migrant who has come to work in Britain, or a refugee who has come to our country in desperation, you will be slightly happier tonight.

If you are ‘of colour’, you will be slightly happier tonight.

If you are a member of the LGBT community, you will be slightly happier tonight.

If you are a feminist and believe that women are equal and much more than just objects for men to lust over, you will be slightly happier tonight.

If you believe in a kinder, gentler Britain, you will be slightly happier tonight.

If you think we can do better than having homeless people living on our streets, you will be slightly happier tonight.

If you believe in genuine equality of opportunity and increased social mobility, you will be slightly happier tonight.

If you believe hope will ultimately triumph over hate, you will be slightly happier tonight.

And the reason you will be slightly happier tonight is because Paul Dacre, the evil editor of the evil Daily Mail, who has done so much damage to this country, creating fear, loathing and pure hate, has announced his retirement.

Dacre is down there with Thatcher and Murdoch who have done more to almost wreck this country than almost anyone else. I wish him nothing but ill in his retirement and hope it is long and miserable. Goodbye and good riddance.
